Prepare to be a Facilitator (as soon as you receive training kit)
◦ Read through the Marriage Oneness Facilitator’s Guide in its entirety. This is very important for your preparation.
◦ Watch the eight video sessions, following along in the Marriage Oneness Workbook.
◦ Take the online Marriage Oneness Profile assessment with your spouse.
Build a Good Leadership Team (six weeks before orientation meeting)
To make Marriage Oneness the quality-training event it should be for participants, you may need to ask additional people to help you, especially if the group includes ten or more members. Having teammates handle welcoming, refreshments, room setup, decorations, sound, video, and follow-up will make your job as facilitator much easier. Of course, the larger the number of couples participating, the bigger and more organized your team will need to be. It’s best to bring your leadership team together early to sample the materials, preview the videos, discuss expectations and outcomes, assign roles, and begin the process of preparing for the launch of the training sessions.
Begin Publicity (at least four weeks before orientation meeting)
If this is the first Marriage Oneness group you’ve facilitated, we suggest you handpick the participants rather than offering a general sign-up. (The reason for this is explained in the "How to Launch a LifeReady Resource" video above) Send out flyers, put up posters, add an announcement to your church’s website, and so on, to get the word out. Use the following information to help get the word out about the training.

Become Familiar with Facebook Fan Page (two weeks before orientation meeting) Consider creating your own Marriage Oneness group page. The use of online social-networking tools like Facebook will help make it more than just a week-to-week meeting. You can use your group page to respond to couples, poll them, network, and offer additional assistance.
Host an Orientation Meeting (one week before first training session)
Host a gathering one week before your first Marriage Oneness training session. This orientation will allow you to present an overview of the series to those interested in the training, build expectations, set ground rules, and introduce your leadership team. Make sure couples understand that this training requires a commitment on their part. Afterward, those who decide to participate in the Marriage Oneness training can purchase their Marriage Oneness Couple’s Set. The couple’s set includes two workbooks and the Marriage Oneness Profile folder with personal access information.
Facilitate the Training Sessions (once a week for eight weeks)
Be creative and have fun.
Encourage participating couples in every way you can. At times couples will find this success training challenging. They’ll need your encouragement to follow through and finish well.
Always keep in mind that the goal of this series is to equip couples in ways that will make their marriages strong, close, long lasting, and God glorifying. Encourage couples to embrace this goal as their objective as well.
Make this series a special training event that couples will speak highly of to their friends.
